In 2020, even though COVID-19 has affected the global business, VUEWO has deployed many projects in waste management industry. One of the typical one is the waste truck cameras solution in Taiwan.
In this project, Vuewo has successfuly thousands cameras in the waste truck since all the waste trucks must be installed cameras.
”Our vehicles make full use of the latest in logistics software and in-vehicle tracking systems. Our market-leading solution provides incredible insight into collections including broken bins and contamination. Cameras installed in the hopper allow our drivers to see and record bins before they are tipped into the hopper, capturing photo evidence of contamination that can be sent back to customers to explain why the bin wasn’t collected and how to improve bin behaviour. Sensors in vehicles can detect bin weights which is critical for customers to track their waste volumes to optimise services and track irregularities like incorrect or illegal use of the bin. Compactors fitted with sensors can be a great solution for larger businesses who need on-call servicing.” Said by Mr.Kevin, operation director in Xinbei Environment Corp.
The heavy waste truck has wider size than other types of trucks, which brings about safety and claim issues due to the intrinsical blind spots.
Without camera solution deployed, the waste truck driver may
- damage obstructions such as mailboxes, trees when passing through narrow streets.
- scratch parked car along the roadside.
- hit the pedestrian.
With camera solution deployed, the fleet managers and owners can
- exonerate the drivers who are not at fault when in the event of accidents
- coach the risky driver behavior.
- defend against fraudulent claim.
- capture the contamination status
Simplify the automated collection when single sanitation truck driver is in the cab.
Front/rear/side loader arm equipped with camera enable load arm to quickly and precisely point to targeted bin and avoid the accidently dumping the waste in the street.
